Recognize after 65!

Do you know someone who has used his or her life experiences to perform an amazing achievement after the age of 65?  Use our online form to submit your Champions nomination. They must be a current resident of Louisiana.

What is a Peoples Health Champion?

The Peoples Health Champions program recognizes the exceptional achievements of Louisiana residents age 65 and older. Peoples Health, in collaboration with the New Orleans Saints, celebrates seniors in the community who shatter the myth that getting older means slowing down. People over age 65 accomplish exceptional things all the time … not in spite of their age … but because of it.

Each Peoples Health Champion is honored on the field of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome during Saints home games.

Many senior recognition programs equate advanced age with diminished capacity and commend individuals for overcoming their age. The Peoples Health Champions program challenges this perspective. It recognizes the unique capability of seniors to accomplish things now that they would not have been able to accomplish in their youth.

In essence, a Peoples Health Champion is someone who proves the adage, “We become better with age.”

If you think about it, you probably know a Champion.
A Champion may even be you. Nominate yourself or someone you know—like a relative, co-worker or neighbor—as a Peoples Health Champion.

A Peoples Health Champion is someone who:

  • Used his or her life experiences to perform an amazing achievement after the age of 65.
  • Is a current resident of Louisiana.
