2025 Champions

Gail Jackson

On August 27, 2025, at age 69, Gail Jackson offered her Tea Time Etiquette class to adults for the first time.

Her etiquette class started as a way to remain engaged with her grandaughter, and it soon grew into a successful 6-week summer camp for girls. It keeps expanding. Now parents and other adults are asking for classes, asking for help recovering this art of etiquette.

What Gail teaches goes well beyond table manners. It goes beyond rules. It is about considering how to act in different environments. From knowing when to put away your phone to what your attire says about you, Gail teaches social skills. She builds self-worth, confidence. Better futures.

For the camp kids, she instills a sense of self-respect. For the adults: a chance to reflect on how they carry themselves, coupled with a reminder that, through their actions, they teach the next generations.

“Self-respect is where everything starts,” she says. “Self-respect is everything. I believe it is the start and it grows from there.”

For recovering a lost art with an eye to a better future, we are proud to honor Gail Jackson as a Peoples Health Champion.
